So it turns out I have another, slightly less academic offering for all you lovely people. Apparently, I made this desktop wallpaper two years ago and completely forgot about it. I thought I would share :)

Since 1909 finished its run, I have been compiling some rather rudimentary "research" on the men and women portrayed in Casualty 1900s: mostly pictures and articles from old newspapers/medical journals. I'm sure if I dug harder, I could find bits and pieces about some of the "lesser" players in the series, but most of the information that exists concerns the following three persons. (And two others. There is a little about Ethel, though regrettably only by virtue of her relationship with Millais.)

Hi people,

Just wanted to mention that I have nominated Casualty 1909 as a yuletide fandom - in case anyone wants to sign up as a participant, add to the character list (I definitely haven't put everyone down: I'm a slasher, so it's mostly men, but I added a few of the women too), or just squee about the possibility of some fic at Xmas!

Also, the reason I put down 1909 rather than 1900s is that my favourite character is the delectable Mr Dean, and of course he only appears in the last series - but there's nothing to stop people from nominating the earlier ones as well if you prefer them. :)

Tis confirmed from a producer at Stone City... The BBC have decided not to commission more episodes of the fabulous Casualty 1900s series :( For those of you on Facebook, sign up to the new ‘More Casualty 1909’ page the existence of which I will also be highlighting to the BBC. You never know it might help to encourage the BBC to reconsider!

I'm afraid I bring the worse possible news for casualty 1900 fans... Just read this post on the Casualty 1909 facebook page: 

"Totally gutted the BBC have decided not to commission another series hopefully a few one offs"
